Hay-yah!

Jaron has just recently - more like 3 months ago, started karate. He is doing it with one of his most bestest friends in the whole world, Kylan. Jaron is doing amazing at it. Even Corban said "I can't believe Jaron can do that - he looks cool!" It's neat to see him doing his Songham (routine) and then all the sudden you hear this "hay-yah" and he does a karate chop (knife hand strike). It's been great for Jaron to have this be his 'thing'. He just tested out of his white belt and is now an orange belt. We are proud of him.

The number 'seven' quiz

Lets take a quiz. What does the number 'seven' represent?

A)Is that days in a week?
B)Number of times I have to tell my children to do something...anything for that matter?
C)Dollars I have in my wallet?
D)Number of kickboxing classes I teach in a week?

If you said 'D' you are correct. Seven stinkin classes - eight if count my once a month Saturday class. Thats two at a martial arts studio, Four at the gym, and one at the church pro bono. And we aren't talking about no easy wussy workouts either. They are tough! Anyway, I should look like Arnold in about three weeks. - Ha

Halloween 2008

Before John left for Vegas, I had him carve pumpkins with the kids. Not my thing. It was quite a bit early to have them done and so they were some sad looking pumpkins on Halloween night. I think I still have a moldy lid on my doorstep.


Corban was the grim reaper. He actually had a really cool skeleton staff. Jaron was a medievil barbarian warrior. (At least that was the name we came up with - even though when people asked him what he was, he would spout off a bunch of different words until they understood he didn't know. (I'm a bad knight in... like a barb..barbar..uh, old warrior with armor, uh...what am I again Mom?) But very cool costume also with a cool sword. What is it with my kids accessories? They beg for me to buy them and then they don't even use them. They didn't even take them out of the car. Lesson learned. Jordan was a devil with of course a princess flare. It's all about princess' in our house.

Johns Big Honkin' House

It's done! So now it just needs to sell. It is such a beauty, sitting on 10 acres of land with great views. John did most of the work on it. The framing, tile, wood floors, trim and helped with other trades. He is very talented at what he does. It has two master suites with three other bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, an office and a theater room. Back to why it needs to sell - John has been working in Las Vegas and will until we sell it. Right now the economy doesn't support us with two houses. So that leaves us home without Dad. I can usually be found in the corner of my house in the fetal position, convulsing with drool out the side of my mouth.
